Project financing is one of the most important and practical approaches in developed and developing countries and many medium and large-scale projects in the world are implemented by applying this approach. Unfortunately, this approach, however, has not really been able to be pursued in Iran, and one of the main reasons for this failure is the lack of knowledge and explanation of the requirements and dimensions of it. Due to the bank-based nature of the Iranian economy, it seems that the best opportunity for starting and practicing this method of financing is for banks to take steps in this field and allocate a small part of their resources to it. For this purpose, this research has tried to provide a better understanding of the subject in order to present the main factors affecting the realization of the project financing model in the banking system of the Islamic Republic of Iran with a relatively comprehensive review of domestic and foreign scientific resources ,and then, to extract the final model by using the theme analysis method and the opinions of experts and related literature, through a relatively deep analysis and extracting a total of 2072 basic themes. By measuring and rearranging these factors, the operational model for project financing in the banking system of the Islamic Republic Iran has been developed.
